Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is presently halfway through the four-year contract he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the first important trophy of his illustrious career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he previously was, and would certainly think about lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different moments happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
