The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
